CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Two men face drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop in north Charlotte led to the discovery of marijuana, cash and guns.
Police said officers stopped a car on West Sugar Creek Road on Nov. 13, 2025, for a tag light violation.
The driver and passenger told officers they had concealed guns, according to police. Neither had permits to carry concealed weapons.
Officers searched the car and found around 386 grams of suspected marijuana, about $1,200 in cash and two guns.
Andrae Burnette, 27, and Rayvon Ponder, 27, were arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed gun.
