(KRON) — One week after a father and daughter were killed in the powerful surf at Garrapata State Park in Big Sur, three people were swept off the rocks at Soberanes Point in the park Saturday around 3 p.m.

Two of the victims, both women, were able to get themselves back on land and were taken to a local hospital, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said. One of the victims, a man about 30 years old, was unable to escape the water.

A large-scale search began to find the missing man. California State Parks, CalFire, the California Highway Patrol, the Monterey County Sheriff’s Search and search and rescue team, and the U.S. Coast Guard all joined the search.
