SIDNEY, Neb. (News Channel Nebraska) - Three people were arrested early Sunday after Sidney Police and the Cheyenne County Sheriff’s office executed a drug-related search warrant at a home on the city’s north side.
Officers served the warrant around 7:30 a.m. near 14th Avenue and Elm Street following what Police Chief Sam Lovato described as tip-based information from the public that led investigators to suspect drug activity at the residence.
Lovato said officers searched for evidence from both the first floor and the basement with two teams. Five people were initially apprehended, but two were released at the scene. Three others were taken to the Cheyenne County Jail on felony drug and weapons charges. Their names have not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
