NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The North Tonawanda Police Department has made an arrest in connection to an armed robbery.

Police report that officers were dispatch to a report of an alleged armed robbery on the 500 block of Oliver Street at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday November 20.

After police made contact with the victim, who was not harmed in the incident, officers determined that an armed robbery had taken place, and the suspect had fled the scene.

The department said that the North Tonawanda Detective Bureau then began an investigation and was able to identify a suspect as 58-year-old Shawn Arcara of North Tonawanda. On November 22, officers executed a search warrant at Arcara's residence where he was then arreste
