A quiet start to the week will give way to rain Tuesday into Wednesday with gusty winds and significantly colder temperatures arriving for Thanksgiving in New Jersey.

Tonight through Monday will remain dry as high pressure builds.

Overnight lows will drop into the mid to upper 30s across most areas, with Monday’s highs reaching the low to mid 50s under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Rain is expected to develop Tuesday afternoon and continue through Wednesday.

Rainfall totals are forecast to be a quarter to half an inch across the region.

Temperatures Tuesday will range from the low 50s to low 60s, with Wednesday seeing highs in the 60s.

Wind gusts of 20 to 25 mph are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening.
