A Baltimore County man faces numerous criminal charges after a pursuit Friday that led police through two counties, with three children in the vehicle, after which the man briefly escaped from the hospital where he was being evaluated, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

A Frederick County Sheriff’s Office deputy tried to pull over a vehicle that was being operated recklessly around 4 p.m. Friday while traveling southbound on U.S. 15 near Rosemont Avenue, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office.
