The 24-team FCS Playoff field is set and the chase for Nashville will begin Saturday with eight first-round games. The Missouri Valley Football Conference’s reputation as the top league in FCS carried some weight in the playoff committee meeting room this weekend, as six teams were selected for the postseason.

North Dakota State and Montana State received the one and two seeds, the opposite of what the same two teams were last year. It’s the first time that the same two teams have been the top two seeds in back to back years since 2011 and 2012 when NDSU and Sam Houston went back to back.
