BERNE CHRISTKINDLMARKT: Beginning Friday through Dec. 21, families and friends are invited to experience an authentic Swiss-German Christmas market in the heart of Berne next to the Muensterberg Plaza and Clock Tower. The market will be open every weekend: 5 to 8 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays. The Berne Christkindlmarkt offers a European-style atmosphere filled with twinkling lights, festive music amid small-town hospitality. The event includes live music, visits from Santa Claus, live reindeer, Swiss foods, vendor and family-friendly activities.
