ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -Churchgoers gathered Sunday morning for a memorial service to honor the Centennial Christian Church.
Members of the church gathered for one last service before the building on Fontaine Avenue is torn down, having been damaged by the May 16 tornado.
The church has been in the community for the past 121 years.
Demolition is expected to begin in the next few weeks, with plans to rebuild the church in the same location.
