HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - As the holiday season nears, a few vending machines have been set up to help spread some holiday cheer.

The Giving Machines were unveiled Saturday at the Ala Moana Center by Gov. Josh Green and First Lady Jaime Green to help make donating gifts easier.

“The concept combines the joy of giving items and services with a unique philanthropic experience, making it a memorable way to contribute to the community,” said Mufi Hannemann, statewide coordinator for the Giving Machine in Hawaii.

Organizers said the machines will provide community gifts and services, and this year, they will be placed in six locations on three islands in collaboration with 16 local nonprofit charities across Hawaii.

The machines can be found on:

Maui at Whales Village

Oahu at Pearlridge
