MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) — Madison Police Department received confirmation that Morgan Geyser was found and taken into custody in Illinois.

Authorities searched for Morgan Geyser, one of the two people convicted in the Slender Man stabbing, after police say she cut off her Department of Corrections monitoring bracelet and left a Madison group home Saturday night.

Timeline of disappearance

The Madison Police Department shared an approximate timeline of the incident and the overnight attempts to locate her.

Geyser was last seen Saturday around 8:15 p.m. on Kroncke Drive with “an adult acquaintance,” according to MPD.
