(Seguin) – A North Texas man has found himself behind bars here in Seguin. A routine traffic stop late Friday night led to the discovery of more than two pounds of black tar heroin. That’s according to the Seguin Police Department.
Officials say that at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, a K9 officer with the department’s Traffic Safety Unit pulled over a Ram 1500 near Mile Marker 613 on Interstate 10 West for multiple traffic violations.
During the stop, they say K9 Ayax was deployed and alerted officers to the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered more than 2 pounds of black tar heroin hidden inside a natural void within the truck. Officers also seized THC products and a semi-automatic handgun.
