Work is beginning on the next phase of Bristol Airport's Transformation Programme, which includes the £60m development of what has been described as a 'bigger, better departure lounge'.
The current departure lounge at the International Airport will be expanded to create more space, upgraded facilities, new shops and restaurants, and 'more choices of places to relax' before passengers fly.
The airport's plans state that new shops and restaurants will begin to open from Spring 2027, with work to complete the transformation of the departure lounge set to conclude by January 2029.
According to the plans, Bristol Airport is increasing the number of shops and restaurants here by almost double.
