A disturbance at a rural home led troopers to discover two people dead inside a residence in the town of Allen, New York, state police announced on Monday, Nov. 24.
Troopers out of SP Amity were called to the scene on Botsford Hollow Road at approximately 10:06 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, according to the release.
Two deceased individuals were found inside the home, investigators detailed. A person of interest was quickly identified, located, and taken into custody, resulting in no threat to the public, police said.
No additional information — including the cause of death, identities, or circumstances — has been released as the investigation remains active.
This is an ongoing criminal investigation, according to Troop A Public Information Officer Trooper James O’Callaghan and Troop A Commander Major Amie P. Feroleto.
