JONESBORO, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A death investigation has started in Jonesboro after a body was found in the road overnight Sunday.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), 50-year-old Donald Eugene Kelly was found dead in the roadway near the intersection of Fayetteville Road and Williamson Mill Road around 3 a.m.

No word has been given about Kelly’s cause of death.

Jonesboro police contacted GBI to assist with the investigation.
