A 27-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital after a serious collision on the A2, involving three vehicles.
Emergency services were called to the the coastbound carriageway near Gravesend at around 5.20am on Sunday (Nov 23) after a crash between a white Mercedes A45 AMG and a black BMW 1 Series.
Both cars subsequently collided with a white Volvo HGV.
Police and paramedics shut the route between the A2260 at Ebbsfleet and the A227 at Gravesend.
The driver of the BMW was airlifted to a London hospital and remains in a critical condition. His next of kin are aware.
A spokesman for the force said: “A man in his 20s was taken to hospital and was later arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drink driving.
“He has since been bailed from custody
