MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Turkey Trot returns on Thursday, Nov. 27. This 5K run, walk or roll happens Thanksgiving morning at the Alliant Energy Center and benefits UCP of Greater Dane County.

The event runs from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and welcomes participants of all ages and abilities. Organizers say the trot offers a lighthearted way to start the holiday, encouraging participants to lace up before settling in for Thanksgiving feasts.

Registration is open for those looking to stroll, trot or roll the course. Participants who use the code UCP10 will receive a discount, and UCP of Greater Dane County will get credit for each registration using the code.
