An elderly man was taken to hospital after his car was found stuck in marshes.

At about 10.20am on Sunday, HM Coastguard, Aldeburgh RNLI and Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue teams were tasked with assisting with the search for a missing person.

Police helicopters were also used to help find the elderly motorist who had got lost on the way home in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The man's car was discovered stuck in marshes in Gedgrave near Orford at around 12pm on Sunday.

The man was taken to hospital for a check-up.
