The owners of a pub in Ipswich which has had a turbulent couple of years said the reopening weekend was "amazing".

The Suffolk Punch pub in Norwich Road had its soft opening on Friday after the new publicans, Terry and Sarah, undertook extensive work in the pub to get it ready.

The duo took over the pub just a couple of months after the previous owners closed the doors for the venue for what was the sixth time in two years .

Terry and Sarah have a background in fixing up independent cinemas and turning them into thriving venues, and after fixing up the Suffolk Punch, customers were welcomed back on Friday evening.
