(Sioux Falls, SD) — Sioux Falls School District officials propose to keep Renberg Elementary open for another year — the smallest elementary school in the district with a hundred students. The public meeting Wednesday showed closing the school may save up to 700-thousand dollars but parents cited concerns over class sizes and bus transportation needs. Officials say a third of the students are using special education services. The board recommends voting on this topic again next year.
