Two individuals have been nicked after a teenager was discovered with a knife tucked into his waistband. ‌

South Wales Police officers responded to reports of an incident involving a group of youngsters in a residential area in Barry on 13 October, just past 4pm. ‌

A witness also reported their suspicion that one of the youths was armed . Officers apprehended a 17-year-old lad matching the description on Main Street, Barry, and found him to be concealing a knife in his waistband. ‌

As the officer confiscated the knife from the youngster, a man interfered, assaulted the officer, causing the knife to drop to the ground.

The man then retrieved the knife , providing the teen with the chance to scarper from the police at the scene. ‌
