SAN ANTONIO — A water main break just north of downtown has cause part of Broad way to be closed while crews work to repair it.

Water is covering the road on Broadway, between East Josephine and East Grayson Street.

Traffic is being diverted to Alamo Street while crews work to repair the damage, according to Transguide cameras.

As of 8 a.m. on Monday, San Antonio Water Systems says that 35 people are without water at this time.

We reached out to SAWS and they released this statement:

"SAWS crews are onsite at a 24" water main break that occurred overnight at Broadway north of Josephine. SAWS operations center is adjusting valves to minimize effects of the break. Please avoid the area while crews make repairs. SAWS will make updates to social media as repairs progress."
