BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Senior Darin Humes-James scored a career-high 19 points and was named game MVP as Susan Wagner recorded a 71-65 victory over Wings at the 21st annual Hersh Classic on Sunday at Jefferson HS.
In addition to Humes-James, the 2-0 Falcons received plenty of support as four players finished with double digits in points. Chris Albano (eight rebounds) scored a game-high 21 points while Charles Gambino and Adem Djonbalic added 11 markers apiece.
Gambino also turned in a strong defensive game, according to head coach Danny Lanigan, and junior Clevi Hoxha (six points) grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds for the Falcons.
Jamel Addison scored a team-high 17 for Wings, which is a 4A team from the Bronx.
