Staten Island, N.Y. — A crash is reported on the Brooklyn-bound Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge on Monday morning.

The crash is on the lower level, and two lanes are blocked, according to an alert from the MTA around 10:30 a.m.

Traffic is backed up on the Staten Island Expressway to Hylan Boulevard from the span, according to 511NY.

It is a tough morning for commuters. Earlier in the morning rush hour, truck traffic caused extensive delays on the Goethals Bridge to Staten Island, the Brooklyn-bound Staten Island Expressway and access roads.
