Ransom Canyon is currently deep in production on its second season, which received its official renewal over the summer although it wasn’t made clear at the time whether the series would be returning with 10 episodes like season 1 dropped with.

Cameras began rolling in September, but series star Minka Kelly recently took some time out to promote her new Netflix movie, Champagne Problems . During that press run, she offered a few teases for season 2, and the show confirmed that the upcoming season will drop to eight episodes.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kelly confirmed the drop while teasing season 2, saying:
