LOGAN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has released new details following a reported stabbing on Crooked Creek Road near Logan on November 21.

Deputies said a report of a stabbing came in around 8:17 a.m. on November 21.

Once deputies arrived at the scene, two men and one woman were found to have stab wounds.

After an investigation, deputies found that an altercation had occurred between Brent Compton, 49, and John Fortuna, 29.

During the altercation, Compton stabbed Fortuna with a knife. Compton also was wounded.

The two men were taken to Logan Regional Medical Center for treatment and then transferred to CAMC General Hospital, while the woman refused treatment.

Deputies said they obtained warrants for Compton for two counts of attempted murder and two counts
