The chef-owner of The Gannet in Glasgow has announced plans to open a new restaurant in its place early next year.
As previously reported by The Herald, Peter McKenna announced plans to close The Gannet earlier this year, with a final service set to take place on December 31.
Eleven Fifty Five will be the next joint venture from McKenna, one of the city's most acclaimed chefs, and widely renowned Maître D, Kevin Dow.
As the doors close on The Gannet, the team has reimagined the Argyle Street space, drawing inspiration from cosy Irish snugs, years of travel and Parisian bistrots.
Eleven Fifty Five will be an 'upscale yet approachable' neighbourhood bistro celebrating Scottish produce while honouring McKenna’s Irish roots.
