ALLEGANY COUNTY, N.Y. — Two brothers are dead and one is in custody following an alleged argument Sunday night, according to New York State Police.
Scot Thompson, 65, of Englewood, Florida, has been charged with two counts of Murder in the 2nd Degree and two counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm in the 1st Degree.
Officials say on November 23, around 10:06 p.m., troopers responded to a disturbance on Botsford Hollow Road in the Town of Allen and found Mark B. Thompson, 70, and David E. Thompson, 69, dead.
Investigators say there were three brothers staying at a hunting cabin and allegedly got into physical altercation before one of them called 911. During the altercation, Scot Thompson allegedly shot and killed both brothers with a rifle before leaving the scene in David's vehicle.
