A New Orleans man died in a multi-vehicle crash on the Crescent City Connection over the weekend, according to Louisiana State Police.
Logan York, 22, was driving a Toyota Camry in the westbound HOV lane around 3 a.m. Sunday when he crashed with a Volvo S60, disabling both vehicles in the roadway, investigators said.
Before first responders arrived, York exited his vehicle and attempted to flag oncoming traffic on the road when he was struck by a Nissan Frontier in the left lane, state police said.
He was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries and later died, authorities said.
The Volvo driver and the passenger in York’s vehicle were taken to a local
hospital with minor injuries. The Nissan driver was properly restrained and was uninjured, police said.
