Don't sleep naked tonight. The weather forecast for most of Mississippi has at least some risk of severe storms and possibly tornadoes on Monday evening and another round of potential storms on Tuesday.
A low-pressure system is developing over the southern U.S., according to the National Weather Service. Fueled by moisture from the Gulf, these storms could bring flooding rains to eastern Texas, northern Louisiana, southern Arkansas and western Mississippi on Monday, Nov. 24.
For many parts of the Magnolia State, the strongest chances of severe weather will come late Monday and early Tuesday morning. It's paired with a threat of heavy rain and flash flooding for some parts of the state, followed by a day of potential isolated storms and possibly tornadoes.
