Households across the UK are set to receive an extra cash payment in just a matter of weeks. The Department for Work and Pensions will pay an extra £10 to eligible benefit claimants via the Christmas Bonus payment.
The government department will issue a £10 one-off payment to people receiving any of the qualifying benefits, offering additional help during the festive period. Eligible benefits include Carer's Allowance, Pension Credit, Personal Independence Payments (PIP), and others.
The payment will be processed automatically, meaning no application is required. It is expected that the money will arrive in early December - several weeks ahead of Christmas. Those entitled should see the payment credited to their bank account.
