Bicyclist in Sierra Vista killed after being hit by vehicle

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Sierra Vista Police Department says a bicyclist is dead after being hit by a passenger vehicle.

The SVPD says it happened Saturday evening, November 22, on Highway 92 south of Buffalo Soldier Trail.

Police say the bicyclist was taken to the hospital where the individual died from their injuries.

The SVPD says they are still working to identify family members of the individual.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was cooperative and submitted to a DUI investigation.

There are no criminal charges at this time.
