Upon returning from their 34-27 overtime loss in Detroit, their sixth in a row to fall to 2-10 on the season, the Giants parted ways with defensive coordinator Shane Bowen. Interim head coach Mike Kafka made the announcement while speaking to the media Monday morning, when he also named outside linebackers coach Charlie Bullen as his new defensive coordinator.
"I have a lot of faith in Charlie and obviously these decisions aren't easy and Shane's a good person," Kafka said. "He's a good man. He's a good coach.
