WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - A record 186.9 million people are planning to shop from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday, according to the National Retail Federation.
One of those days specifically encourages people to shop small — Small Business Saturday. Local businesses like The Craft Nook in downtown Winchester say it’s what they prepare all year for.
“It’s going to be busy. It’s going to be hectic, but we’re up for it,” said Dave Mullen, co-owner of The Craft Nook.
Holiday spending to surpass $1 trillion
Between Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, the National Retail Federation forecasts holiday spending will surpass $1 trillion.
“We love it. The excitement, the customers,” Mullen said.
