A Rhode Island man was stabbed to death in New York City's Times Square early Monday morning.

The New York City Police Department was called to the intersection of West 49 Street and 7 Avenue in Manhattan shortly after 1 a.m., according to NBC New York .

Police said 23-year-old Daevon Silva, of Pawtucket, was found with multiple stab wounds in his back and right thigh. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Three men are being sought in connection to stabbing, police said. The first man is described as wearing a purple sweatsuit and black ski mask. The second individual sought is described as wearing a black jacket, dark-colored pants and brown boots. The third man was wearing all black
