Shedeur Sanders had reason to be confident on Sunday.

The rookie quarterback’s first start for the Browns resulted in a 24-10 win over the Raiders, and afterwards, he had a message for his haters.

“It’s amazing… after one week of practice,” Sanders said postgame to CBS Sports. “This is one week of practice. So imagine what a full offseason looks like… it gets dangerous. I’m just truly thankful that everything happened.”

In his debut start, Sanders was 11 of 20 for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Sanders was less impressive in his Week 11 debut, when he entered at the beginning of the second half of the 23-16 loss to the Ravens after rookie Dillon Gabriel exited with a concussion. Sanders went 4 of 16 passing for 47 yards and an interception, earning him a 13.5 rating.
