NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A good Samaritan helped officers track down a man accused of driving under the influence, getting into a crash and then leaving the scene.

Police say the wreck happened over the weekend along the 3600 block of Murfreesboro Pike. Two people were seriously injured and hospitalized following the wreck, including a girl whose wrist was broken, arrest papers say.

While on the way to the collision, officers were notified that one of the vehicles was leaving the scene.

Soon, they spotted that vehicle: a white GMC Yukon with the Tennessee tag described by witnesses. It was driving north toward Summercrest Boulevard, but as officers attempted to turn around and follow the SUV, they lost sight of it.

When they returned to the scene, however, a witness walked up and told
