GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he drove past a cruiser that was attempting to block traffic.

According to a uniform citation, a Glasgow officer had parked a cruiser and activated its lights to block traffic for a wrecker to load a vehicle on Columbia Avenue on Sunday night.

Police say while blocking traffic, a vehicle drove around several vehicles in traffic, traveled north in the southbound lane and went around the officer’s cruiser.

Authorities say this occurred as the tow truck operator was trying to secure a vehicle.

Police say they caught up with the vehicle and initiated the traffic stop in a parking lot.
