Donald Glover’s last concert as Childish Gambino in over a year was at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, and he revealed over the weekend that he cancelled the rest of his concert stops after suffering a stroke.
During his first concert Saturday at rapper Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles, the acclaimed 42-year-old rapper, comedian and actor opened up about the health scare, Pitchfork reported.
In a monologue that was widely shared to social media, Glover recalled his difficulties performing in New Orleans last September.
“I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well,“ he told the audience. “When we went to Houston, I went to the hospital and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.‘“
