JUNCTION CITY, Ore. - A former student of the Junction City School District has filed a lawsuit alleging sexual misconduct by a teacher.

The lawsuit, filed on Nov. 17, accuses a teacher, identified as Mike Shultz, of child sexual battery, premises liability, and negligence. It seeks $750,000 in damages and requests a jury trial. Shultz has not been charged with a crime and is not currently listed in the high school's staff directory.

According to Mark Waddell, Junction City's Chief of Police, no criminal charges have been filed against Shultz following an investigation by his department into allegations of misconduct.
