MADISON, Wis. -- A woman injured in a crash at a parking lot died on Friday, according to the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

Tricia M Ploessl, 45, of Ridgeway died at a local hospital following a crash in the 300 block of Knutson Drive on Thursday night near Lerdahl Park. Police said a 64-year-old driver was pulled from the vehicle at the time of the crash and was unconscious. A forensic examination was completed on Nov. 22. Preliminary results confirm that Ploessl died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Additional testing is underway.

This death remains under investigation by the City of Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
