LANCASTER, S.C. — A man was shot and killed outside his home in Lancaster on Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. on Springdale Road. Daquindrick Blackmon, 29, was standing outside his home when he was approached by Ramon Pyatt.
A brief conversation began between the two before Pyatt shot at Blackmon multiple times, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. Two of the shots hit Blackmon. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies located a pistol and other evidence from the scene. Pyatt was later arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Pyatt is being held in Lancaster County jail without bond, according to jail records.
