BEMIDJI — The Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter recently announced the appointment of Tabitha Vickaryous as its new executive director, effective Oct. 8.

Vickaryous has been part of the NBWS team for several years, serving most recently as program specialist.

“We are thrilled to have Tabitha step into this leadership role,” Michelle Carlson, NBWS assistant director, said in a release. “Her deep understanding of our mission, her vision for growth, and her unwavering commitment to survivors make her the ideal person to guide NBWS into the future.”
