A woman from Chaska was killed in a crash involving a suspected drunk driver on Highway 169 in Jackson Township.
Kala Karlene Henry, 46, died after her Chevrolet Cobalt was rear-ended around 11:40 p.m. Sunday by a GMC Acadia traveling at a "high rate of speed," according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The GMC struck the rear driver's side of Henry's Chevrolet and pushed it into the right ditch, where it hit a culvert and rolled over," reads an incident brief.
Henry was pronounced dead at a local hospital. She was wearing her seatbelt.
The driver of the GMC, a 20-year-old Shakopee man, sustained injuries that weren't believed to be threatening. He was not wearing a seat belt.
