HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police have cited a 72-year-old man in connection with a deadly crash last week that left a pedestrian dead in the roadway.

Officers were called just after 6:25 p.m. on Nov. 21 to Dillon Road at Bales Chapel Road, where they found 26-year-old Ostin Roca lying in the road. Guilford County EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police said the car involved continued down the road after the crash, but a witness followed the driver and called 911. Patrol officers located the vehicle and its driver within minutes. Investigators said at the time that the driver was cooperating and that neither speed nor impairment appeared to be a factor.
