Police officers have closed off a section of a Glasgow city centre square following an incident.

Officers and several police vehicles were spotted in attendance at the incident on John Knox Street with parts of Cathedral Square taped off.

The reason for the police presence is not currently known, though according to an eye witness, the entrance to the Necropolis at John Knox Street has also been taped off.

Several police cars and vans have been spotted at the site in photos sent to Glasgow Live.
