BELFAST, Maine (WABI) - A Waldo Country grand jury has indicted an Ellsworth man just two months after he was hit by a truck while allegedly running away from police.

Jared Felling, 39, is facing 11 counts ranging from burglary and theft to criminal mischief. Prosecutors say his charges are from an incident in August when he was caught taking items from cars.

In September, Felling was seriously injured after a truck hit him while he was running across the turnpike in Southern Maine.

After the driver of the truck called police to report what had happened, troopers found Felling in a marshy area near the Biddeford exit. He reportedly had injuries to his legs and head and was in the early stages of hypothermia.
