Ari Lowenstein spent part of his Monday the way he enjoys most, interacting with customers and helping them select a pasta, sauce, or fresh fruit and vegetables at Ari's Pantry .

"It's good to be back," Lowenstein said. "It's good to have the brand going again.”

Ari's Pantry, which opened its downtown Dallas location last May at 1800 Main Street , was forced to close after a water pipe ruptured on the 20th floor of the Mercantile Building in early October.

The flood forced the evacuation and permanent relocation of approximately 175 occupied apartments in the building opened in 1943 .
