After falling behind William & Mary 13-0 out of the gate, the UTEP men's basketball team played some of its best basketball of the year, but never could come all the way back as the Miners fell to the Tribe, 74-63 .
UTEP got as close as 50-49 with 10:46 remaining after Kaseem Watson's driving layup, but William & Mary hit a 3-pointer and the Miners were once against scrambling uphill.
UTEP didn't trail by more than six points after that until the final 2:30 and were left ruing the slow start that dropped their record to 3-3. After getting within 50-49, UTEP lost 24-14 the rest of the way.
