MONROE, La. (KNOE) - A word change on the CDC website has furthered the political back and forth between Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Louisiana Senator Bill Cassidy.

On Nov. 21, Kennedy personally instructed the CDC to change its long-standing position that vaccines do not cause autism. The website now reads “The claim ‘Vaccines do not cause autism’ is not evidence-based because the possibility of infant vaccines causing autism has not been ruled out.”

Cassidy, a medical doctor, disagrees with the CDC’s website change, saying any statements to the contrary are wrong, irresponsible, and makes America sicker.
